Bombardier Commercial Aircraft continues to work in close cooperation with Ilyushin Finance & Co. It was stated by the Bombardier Commercial Aircraft President, Fred Cromer, at Le Bourget airshow.
«We continue to work in close cooperation with IFC as well as all of our clients in order to elaborate an optimal proposal in terms of aircraft sales and financial support; we keep looking for solutions. That’s all we can say for now; we continue negotiations as with other clients. Every client is important to us,» Mr. Cromer said.
It was reported in April 2015 that IFC might reconsider a contract for delivery of 39 Bombardier CSeries aircraft worth more than $3 billion (list prices) as well as conditions of an option for 10 more jets of the type.
In February 2013 IFC placed an order for 32 CSeries 300 aircraft with an option for 10 more jets of the type. At that time Bombardier set the list price at $80 million per jet. In July 2014 the lessor signed a contract for delivery of seven more jets of the type at Farnborough airshow (the deal was not announced due to sanctions imposed against Russia), and the option for 10 airliners remained. So the Russian company is one of the largest launch customers for the new aircraft.
