Russian Helicopters Holding Company and AVIC (China) have defined preliminary performance specifications for a Russian-Chinese heavy helicopter; the contract should be signed this year, Russian Helicopters CEO Alexander Mikheev said at MAKS-2015 airshow.

“Russian Helicopters and AVIC have defined preliminary performance specifications and continue working on the next-generation heavy helicopter’s concept. It will be a brand-new vehicle developed by Russia and China, despite the fact that some technologies, developed in the network of Mi-26 project, will be used. It will be developed from scratch. We are going to sign the contract with the Chinese party this year,” Mikheev said.
