full-scale copy of Buran shuttle, developed in USSR to perform orbital flights, was created for these purposes. In fact, this is a real spacecraft, but its interior was changed completely, authorities of Sosenskoe settlement report.
“Up to 16 persons may travel to space simultaneously. The offered entertainment attraction allows generating a picture, which astronauts see during their flights, at that, special projection devices recreate a visual zero-gravity effect,” said in the statement.
“All the real sound effects are also generated. Pilot seats allow visitors to control the landing of the spacecraft; representatives of VDNH noted that the process was simplified intentionally, because actually it is rather hard to successfully land Buran. Nevertheless, not everyone can successfully land the shuttle-simulator at the first attempt. Total duration of the virtual flight is around 25 minutes, but a visitor is still able to get a lot of emotions. The ticket cost is pretty affordable – 500 rubles,” the press-service noted.
