Russia delivered six MiG-31 aircraft to Syria under a contract signed in 2007, Interfax reports with reference to BGN News.
According to the source, the jets have already performed ferry flight to Damascus. Under the contract signed in 2007 Moscow must deliver eight MiG-31 jets to Syria, said in the BGN News’ statement. The portal noted that Russia is committed to creating an international coalition to fight Islamic State terrorist group; in particular, Syria and Iraq should be involved in the coalition. Rosoboronexport did not confirm or dismiss the information.
