The first satellite of the Integrated Space System (ISS) developed on behalf of Russian Ministry of Defense will be launched in November 2015, TASS reports with reference to the Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Defense Forces Major General Oleg Maidanovich.

“Today we are almost ready to place the first spacecraft into high elliptical orbit; it will be launched in November 2015. The project is on schedule approved by the Minister of Defense,” Maidanovich said.

It was reported earlier that the ISS would comprise 10 satellites by 2018. The satellites will allow Russia to detect launches of ballistic missiles (both the existing and advanced ones) all over the world.
