S7 Engineering (part of Engineering Holding Company) entered the market of MRO services for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG Family aircraft provided in accordance with the requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations part 145 “Repair Stations” (FAR-145). It allows the company to service the abovementioned aircraft registered in Russia, the company’s press-service reports.
«On July 22nd 2015 we received a FAR-145 approval, which allows us to provide MRO services for Airbus A320 (powered by CFM56 and V2500 engines) and Boeing 737NG aircraft, as well as aircraft components in accordance with the list of components approved via our Operation Manual,» S7 Engineering Quality Director Oleg Golomolzin said.
At present specialists of the Engineering Holding Company and other leaders of the market in cooperation with Russian aviation authorities are taking part in the work aimed at improving the FAR-145.
«I think that after FAR-145 will be harmonized with international standards and practices, the number of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG jets registered in Russia will increase; and our experience as a provider of MRO services (in compliance with FAR-145) will be useful for both air carriers and owners of aircraft, which are willing to maximize the residual value of their assets (aircraft operated in the network of FAR-145 system),» Igor Panshin, Engineering Holding Company Deputy CEO said.
The Federal Aviation Regulations part 145 “Repair Stations” were put into effect in 1999. FAR-145 includes requirements for providers of MRO services for aircraft registered in Russian Federation.
