V.Tikhomirov Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Design (NIIP, part of Almaz-Antey Concern) will showcase a full set of active phased array antennas for Russian fifth-generation PAK FA fighter at MAKS-2015 international airshow for the first time ever, TASS reports with reference to NIIP CEO Yuri Beliy.
“Traditionally our company demonstrates its latest products at the airshow. A full set of active phased array antennas (also known as active electronically scanned array or AESA) for Russian fifth-generation PAK FA fighter will be showcased for the first time ever. These are front and side X-band AESA and wing L-band AESA,” Beliy noted.
These prototypes will be showcased in the pavilion of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). “Moreover, a prototype of cylindrical all around active phased array antenna will be demonstrated at the stand of Almaz-Antey Concern,” the CEO added.
