In accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (part 21) meetings of the mockup commission dedicated to the integrated computing system (ICS) for MS-21 were held in the territory of UAC – Integration center on July 29th and 30th2015. Specialists from the following organizations took part in the work of the commission: Aviation Registry of the Interstate Aviation Committee (AR IAC), branch of GosNIIGA – NII Aeronavigatsiya, STsBO NII AN, GosNII AS, UAC – Integration center, Irkut Corporation, MIEA and the 353th military representative office, the company’s press-service reports.
“The commission’s objectives were: to study the design of the ICS and define the scope and methods for carrying out certification tests; define the scope and sufficiency of the certification basis for the ICS; consider and discuss the presented items and documents; and assess the percentage of completion of goals set for the ICS mockup stage,” said in the statement.
The commission submitted its findings and comments aimed at improving the ICS’ design and optimization of its certification in accordance with the current, latest and future documents and regulations implemented by the aviation authorities.
In 2014 AR IAC received an application for a letter of approval from UAC- Integration Center related to the ICS, which is going to be a part of MS-21’s avionics suite, the press-service noted.
UAC – Integration Center is the company, which specializes in development, integration and fine-tuning of avionics suites for civil, transport, military and special-purpose aircraft. The company was established in May 2012 in accordance with the decision made by its only founder – UAC, in order to consolidate the industry’s resources and implement the corporation’s strategy in terms of establishment of key centers of competence. UAC-Integration Center is headed by its CEO - Polyakov Viktor Borisovich.
