Aerobatic teams of Russian air forces will take part in MAKS-2015 airshow

Three Russian aerobatic teams will take part in MAKS-2015 international airshow to be held in Zhukovsky (Moscow Region) in late August. Leaders of Strizhi, Russian Knights and Falcons of Russia aerobatic teams told RIA Novosti about the teams’ schedule for this summer.

“In the near-term we are going to participate in Army-2015 Military-Technical Forum held in Kubinka, after that we are going to take part in Wings of Parma festival in Perm, then – in International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS) held in St. Petersburg, and after that we are moving to Cheboksary. We have a tough schedule, and, of course, we are going to participate in MAKS-2015 airshow,” Lieutenant Colonel Sergey Osyaykin, leader of Strizhi aerobatic team (Kubinka, Moscow Region), told RIA Novosti.

At Army-2015, IMDS in St. Petersburg and MAKS-2015 their neighbors – Russian Knights – will join them.

“Unfortunately, we are not going to take part in Army - 2015. So far, we are participating in Nashestvie, MAKS airshow, and maybe in Russia Arms Expo held in Nizhny Tagil,” Colonel Alexander Gostev, leader of Falcons of Russia (Lipetsk), said.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Alekseev, leader of Russian Knights aerobatic team, decision on participation of his team in Russia Arms Expo RAE-2015 has not been made yet. Strizhi are not going to participate in RAE-2015.

MAKS international airshow is one of the world’s largest aviation forums. Its major goal is demonstration of Russian high technologies and commitment of Russian market to joint projects with foreign partners. MAKS-2015 will be held at the territory of Gromov Flight Research Institute in Zhukovsky (Moscow Region) during the period from August 25thto August 30th.
