Federal Air Transport Agency unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines for the period from January to April 2015. 

According to this statistics, the passenger turnover of the airlines during the accounting period was 59 733 831,56 thousand revenue passenger-kilometers, (-8.9% year-on-year). The cargo turnover was 1 725 716,18 thousand revenue ton-kilometers (+14%). During the accounting period (January-April 2015) Russian carriers have transported 23 364 925 passengers (-2% year-on-year). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 324 362,73 tons (+5.9%). The passenger load factor was 74.8% and the commercial load factor was 63.5%.

As for the April statistics, the Russian airlines have transported 6 367 806 passengers (-1.1%) and 92 663,51 tons of cargo and mail (+9.6%).

The top-5 carriers in terms of passenger traffic in January-April 2015 are as follows: Aeroflot transported 7 463 995 passengers (+8.3% year-on-year), Transaero - 3 037 948 passengers (-4.2%), Siberia - 2 142 214 passengers (-5.7%), Rossiya - 1 458 895 (+21,9%), UTair Aviation - 1 407 958passengers (-36.1%). These five carriers have transported a total of 15 511 010 passengers (-1.4%) during 4 months of 2015, which is equal to 66.4% of the total passenger traffic of the Russian airlines during the accounting period.

The five leading airlines in terms of cargo traffic are: AirBridgeCargo – 187 042,5  tons of cargo and mail (+21.4% year-on-year), Aeroflot – 41 882,66 tons of cargo and mail (-7.6%), Transaero - 15 099,82 tons of cargo and mail (-26.9%), Volga-Dnepr – 12 167,51 tons of cargo and mail (+3.3%), Siberia - 9 128 tons of cargo and mail (-21.9%). The above-mentioned five carriers have transported a total of 265 320,49 tons of cargo and mail (+8.9%) during 4 months of 2015, which is equal to 81.8% of the total cargo traffic of the Russian airlines during the accounting period.
