In 2015 Roscosmos is going to launch three more Progress transport spacecraft to ISS, Lenta.ru reports with reference to a source close to the rocket and space industry.

«We decided to launch three cargo spacecraft to ISS instead of two ones: on July 3rd, September 21st and November 21st,» the source said.

Earlier it was planned to launch two Progress spacecraft to ISS – on August 6th and October 22nd. Moreover, on October 22nd the upgraded Progress-MS cargo spacecraft should have been launched.

The second in 2015 Progress spacecraft was launched on April 28th using Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle. The cargo spacecraft started erratic flight and on May 8th at 05:04 (Moscow time) ceased to exist above the central part of Pacific Ocean. The most probable reason for this accident is malfunction of the launch vehicle’s components.

Earlier Progress was launched to ISS on February 17th 2015 at 14:00 (Moscow time) using Soyuz-U launch vehicle. It docked with the station six hours later and delivered about 2,3 tons of cargo to the ISS.
