Federal Air Transport Agency unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines for the period from January to March 2015. 

According to this statistics, the passenger turnover of the airlines during the accounting period was 44 079 914,22 thousand revenue passenger-kilometers, (-9.7% year-on-year). The cargo turnover was 1 234 160,76 thousand revenue ton-kilometers (+12.9%). During the accounting period (January-March 2015) Russian carriers have transported 16 996 891 passengers (-2.3% year-on-year). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 231 802,04 tons (+4.6%). The passenger load factor was 74.8% and the commercial load factor was 63.2%.

As for the March statistics, the Russian airlines have transported 5 984 382 passengers (-3.9%) and 86 827,40 tons of cargo and mail (-3.3%).

The top-5 carriers in terms of passenger traffic in January-March 2015 are as follows: Aeroflot transported 5 470 961 passengers (+9.8% year-on-year), Transaero - 2 200 553 passengers (-6%), Siberia - 1 561 200 passengers (-6%), Rossiya - 1 095 247 (+21,9%), UTair Aviation - 1 035 477 passengers (-36.1%). These five carriers have transported a total of 11 363 438 passengers (-1.2%) during 3 months of 2015, which is equal to 66.9% of the total passenger traffic of the Russian airlines during the accounting period.

The five leading airlines in terms of cargo traffic are: AirBridgeCargo – 134 780,00 tons of cargo and mail (+22.2% year-on-year), Aeroflot – 29 180,15 tons of cargo and mail (-12.8%), Transaero - 10 314,67 tons of cargo and mail (-29.1%), Volga-Dnepr – 8 309,30 tons of cargo and mail (+3.1%), Siberia - 6 614 tons of cargo and mail (-21.7%). The above-mentioned five carriers have transported a total of 189 198,12 tons of cargo and mail (+8.3%) during 3 months of 2015, which is equal to 81.6% of the total cargo traffic of the Russian airlines during the accounting period.
