Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov delivered Tu-22M3 bomber to Russian air forces after carrying out overhaul and upgrade of the aircraft. All the required works have been completed. Upon completion of these works, test and acceptance flights have been performed, the enterprise’s press-service reports.

«Today the enterprise is carrying out repair and upgrade of Tu-22M3 bombers in the network of the State Defense Order. In particular, Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov (branch of Tupolev Company) is upgrading avionics and equipment of Tu-22M3 aircraft. In order to carry out this work the enterprise completed some production-support work: a stand-alone overhaul shop was established, technological documentation was developed, required ground control and maintenance facilities have been reconstructed and necessary equipment has been manufactured,» said in the statement.
