Turkish representatives showed interest in purchasing Russian air defense systems, Deputy CEO of Rosoboronexport Sergey Goreslavsky said at IDEF-2015 exhibition held in Istanbul, TASS reports.
Representative of the Russian company noted that Turkish Minister of Defense visited Russian display at IDEF-2015, “so he did a courtesy to our company”. “He said that the country is ready to continue cooperation in the area of technology transfer,” Goreslavsky noted.
“We see that Turkey is interested in different air defense systems including Antey-2500,” he added. In addition, earlier Russian party held a presentation of “safe city” system for Turkish police – such systems were used for provision of safety at Sochi-2014 Olympic Games.
According to him, Rosoboronexport is counting on “further development” of military-technical cooperation with Turkey. “Possibly, it is the most long-standing partnership we have,” he added.
