Since 2017 spacecraft manufactured by Russian private space company Dauria Aerospace will be placed into orbit by Angara and Proton launch vehicles, TASS reports with reference to press-service of Dauria Aerospace.
The corresponding agreement was signed by International Launch Services (ILS, owned by Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center) President Phil Slack and Dauria Aerospace CEO Sergey Ivanov. “The agreement allows launching satellites manufactured by Dauria Aerospace in accordance with pricing for a dual launch, which gives the company an edge,” the press-service reports with reference to Sergey Ivanov.
“This agreement offers a perfect opportunity for partnership with Dauria Aerospace in terms of dual launches to the geostationary Earth orbit. This innovative approach allows using new opportunities for launching small spacecraft,” the ILS president said.
In accordance with the agreement, satellites made by Dauria Aerospace intended for provision of satellite broadcasting, telephony or broadband Internet will be placed into orbit as a hosted payload in the network of placing heavier spacecraft into orbit.
