Viktor Polyakov, former Deputy Managing Director of NPO Saturn (Ribinsk) on Production Cooperation Development, was appointed NPO Saturn Managing Director, press-service of United Engine Corporation (UEC) reports.

«Viktor Polyakov was appointed NPO Saturn Managing Director. Over the last three years (from 2013 to 2015) he was working as NPO Saturn Deputy Managing Director on Production Cooperation Development. Viktor Polyakov assumed the office on April 30^th 2015,” UEC noted.

Viktor Polyakov was born on April 26^th 1953 in Ribinsk (Yaroslavl Region). In 1975 he graduated from Ribinsk Aviation Technology Institute (specialty – Aircraft Engines). In 1992 he completed a training course at Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics (specialty – Company Management and Business Economics). He started working at NPO Saturn in 1975 and made his way from foreman to deputy production manager on special products. From 2009 to 2013 he was the head of NPO Saturn’s Production Support Department. From 2013 to 2015 he worked as a Deputy Managing Director of NPO Saturn on Production Cooperation Development. Viktor Anatolievich Polyakov is the honorary citizen of Ribinsk.

«Sergey Popov, Managing Director of the Perm Engine Company, was appointed head of UEC’s civil aircraft engines division. Popov will keep his position in Perm Engine Company and NPO Saturn will remain the flagship company of the division. We remind you that, besides the Ribinsk-based enterprise, the division includes Aviadvigatel (Perm) and Perm Engine Company as well as some of their suppliers,» the press-service added.

Sergey Popov was born in Ribinsk in 1969. In 1992 he graduated from Ribinsk Aviation Technology Institute (specialty – Mechanic Engineer, Aircraft Engines); in 2002 – from Moscow State University of Management (specialty – Human Resources Management). From 1993 to 2008 he worked at NPO Saturn making his way from Fitter to Deputy Chief Technology Officer – General Designer, Production. From 2005 to 2008 he was NPO Saturn Chief HR officer. In 2008-2009 he was the head of PAO Inkar (Perm) and then he was appointed NPO Saturn Chief Commercial Officer. In 2012-2013 he was appointed STAR Managing Director (Perm). 

On February 1^st 2013 he was appointed Managing Director of Perm Engine Company.

Earlier Ilya Fedorov (who has left the company) was the NPO Saturn Managing Director and the head of UEC’s civil aircraft engines division, UEC added.
