S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance®, has updated its iPhone app. The new app version supports innovative Apple Watch, which goes on sale in some countries today.
S7 Airlines is the first Russian airline to develop support for the new Apple device. Smart Apple Watch owners can get information on their flight status, information on gate number, and prompt updates in case of any boarding gate changes, as well as information on seat number onboard. All notifications in the iPhone app will be instantly shown in the Apple Watch display, so there is no need to take your iPhone out of pocket and enter the app or notification page.
“We continue to develop electronic services dynamically, and to be the first on the market to implement innovative solutions. Today over 30% of our passengers purchase air tickets and use other electronic services online, including through iPhone and Android apps. This index is the most impressive among Russian carriers. For our passengers’ comfort we are constantly updating our mobile app, and now it has become even better” ”, Dmitry Chuiko, S7 Group E-Commerce Director, noted.
S7 Airlines was the first to launch online sale of air tickets on its own website, and was the first among Russian companies to start the use of electronic tickets, to offer online flight registration to its passengers, to implement mobile boarding pass, and it was also the first to develop a special iPhone app and website mobile version.
