Russian Ministry of Defense is going to purchase 150 Yak-152 trainer aircraft manufactured by Irkut Corporation during a period until 2020, Gazeta.ru reports.

«We signed a contract for development of Yak-152 aircraft last year. Its maiden flight is scheduled for 2016. The air forces are going to take delivery of 150 Yak-152 aircraft by 2020,» Deputy Minister of Defense, Yuri Borisov, said.

He also said that the ministry is monitoring the development process. «We have discussed the contract for delivery of the aircraft. We will sign it after the enterprise submits its calculations,» Borisov added.
