7 space launches will be carried out at Baikonur cosmodrome in the second quarter of 2015

In the second quarter of 2015 May will be the busiest time – three space launches are scheduled for this month, two launches will be carried out in April and two more – in June, Interfax-AVN reports with reference to a source close to the Russian rocket and space industry.

“Over the next three months Proton-M launch vehicles will be launched five times. In April Mexican satellite MexSat 1 will be launched, in May – a satellite for Russian Ministry of Defense and Inmarsat-5F3, in June – Express-AM8 Russian satellite and TurkSat 4B (Turkey),” the source said.

According to him, Soyuz launch vehicles will be launched from Baikonur twice a quarter. “On April 28th Soyuz-2.1a will be launched with Progress M-27M cargo spacecraft, the launch of Soyuz-FG launch vehicle with the manned Soyuz TMA-17M is scheduled for May 26th,” he said.
