United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) asked the Russian government to provide it with state guarantees worth over 20 billion rubles, Interfax reports with reference to Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov.
“Several companies have already asked for state guarantees, for example, GAZ Group. And this refers to UAC too, because it has already submitted its offer to us and we must consider it at one of the upcoming meetings of the anti-crisis commission,” Manturov told journalists.
According to the minister, UAC asked for more than 20 billion rubles in order to refinance its credits. The minister added that Chelyabinsk Pipe-rolling Plant also asked for state guarantees worth 8 billion rubles.
“We have considered the matter and we are ready to discuss it with the Ministry of Economic Development in the near-term,” he said.
