UEC CEO: Russia is cooperating with a number of EU companies in the area of aircraft engine building

United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) continues cooperation with a number of EU companies, whose specialists are involved in development of components and engine nacelle for Russian engines, RIA Novosti reports with reference to UEC CEO Vladislav Masalov.

“We continue our cooperation with a number of EU companies, for example, Lenis Air and Nacelle Systems Consultancy,” Masalov said. He noted that in 2014 UEC successfully worked with UK companies recognized as “experts in the area of design and production of engine nacelle components”.

“Today for the first time in the history of Russian aircraft industry an engine-building company is responsible for development of engine nacelle (despite the fact that this is another competence), so we are interested in cooperation with recognized experts having a good reputation and great expertise in this area,” Masalov said.

UEC is the integrated company responsible for production of aircraft engines for military and civil aircraft, spacecraft, as well as gas turbine power plants used to generate electricity and heat energy, gas compressor units and marine gas turbine units.
