The next-generation PAK DA bomber will perform its maiden flight in 2019, the program is on schedule, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian air forces, Colonel General Viktor Bondarev, said, Interfax reports.

“The program for development of PAK DA is on schedule, there are no delays. The jet’s maiden flight is scheduled for 2019, the next stages are testing and mass production,” Bondarev said.

He reminded that Tupolev Company is developing PAK DA in cooperation with Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov (KAPO).
