Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of Russia, Ivan Kharchenko, visited Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company (VASO), Kommersant-Voronezh reports.
The delegation inspected one of the workshops for assembly of Il-96-400T and An-148 liners and visited a facility for production of composites. According to Kharchenko, the aviation plant secured an order for upgrade of two Tu-204-300 jets placed by Roscosmos, the contract for upgrading third jet of the type should be signed soon.
The agency may also take delivery of one An-148 liner manufactured by VASO. The Deputy Chairman of the Board added that the crisis “will not affect the Il-112V project”. «In order to overcome difficulties, we are subsidizing the defense enterprises and optimizing our procurement plans. VASO has no specific problems and the Ministry of Defense has no claims against the company,» Kharchenko noted.
