Transaero Aviation Training Center has successfully passed another audit on compliance with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. The company has expanded its Part 147 Certificate and now it is able to train maintenance personnel for Boeing 737 Classic and Boeing 737NG aircraft, Transaero’s press-service reports.
The expansion of Part 147 Certificate is a part of the Transaero’s program aimed at optimizing and increasing the efficiency of the carrier’s activities. Now the airline is able to train its personnel without involving foreign specialists. This will help the carrier cut the costs in foreign currency, the airline added.
In late March 2015 the Aviation Training Center will pass another audit to further expand its Part 147 Certificate allowing it to carry out theoretical and practical training of aircraft maintenance personnel servicing Boeing 747 aircraft.
“The regular international audits are essential part of the carrier’s Flight Safety Management System. Transaero was the Russia’s first carrier to introduce the system. Transaero is the only Russian carrier to make the list of the world’s top 20 safest airlines made by JACDEC research center,” the carrier’s press-service added.
Transaero Aviation Training Center was opened in 1994. It was the first private civil aviation training center in Russia. In 1999 Transaero Aviation Training Center was certified to train foreign specialists. Today the center offers 140 different training, retraining and advanced training programs.
