The passenger traffic of Russian airports for 2014 reached 157 million passengers (+10% year-on-year), the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), Alexander Neradko, told Interfax at an exhibition dedicated to the development of civil airports infrastructure.

“The airports serviced more people than the population of Russia,” he said.

In 2013 the passenger traffic of Russian airports amounted to 142,8 million passengers, Russian Air Operators Association (also known as AEVT) reports.

Rosaviatsiya added that the domestic passenger traffic in Russia amounted to 93,181 million passengers last year (+10,2%).
