Crews of transport-combat helicopters from the separate helicopter regiment located in the Krasnodar Krai have performed first flights in the new training year.
During the flights, the pilots practiced tasks on engagement of simulated enemy armoured vehicles as well as ensured fire cover of assault units using cannon weaponry.
Helicopter crews also escorted military columns on route.
The flights involved up to 10 assault and transport-combat helicopters.
