At the final stage of the field training with forward air controllers of the Western MD motorized rifle and tank formations, joint training operation was held with the army aviation helicopter crews.
Air controllers detected and transferred locations of the armored vehicles and other objects of the simulated enemy to helicopter crews for further liquidation.
Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-28 and Ka-52 helicopter crews used air-to-surface missiles and guns for engaging the targets.
In total, more than 40 forward air controllers were trained for the Western MD motorized rifle and tank formations in the course of the field training.
