Volga-Dnepr Group has summed up the results of the Fourth International Photo Contest. Competition organized to find the best photo images of Antonov An-124-100, Ilyushin IL-76TD-90VD and Boeing 747 aircrafts, was devoted to the Group’s 25th anniversary.
The leading aviation photographers Katsuhiko Tokunaga (Japan) and Marina Lystseva (Russia) were the members of judging panel. This competition attracted 130 professionals and amateur aviation photographers who published 380 photographs with images of the Group’s fleet (Volga-Dnepr Airlines and AirBridgeCargo) on the official website at http://photo.volga-dnepr.com that was visited by over 15000 people from 50 countries.
Katsuhiko Tokunaga, Honorary President of the Judging Panel, said: “I was glad to be the chairman of judges during the contest devoted to the Group’s 25th anniversary. In 1994 I participated in one of the first air-photography for this company. Those beautiful photos were awarded with prizes at international photo contests. 20 years later I help choose the best images of the Group’s fleet. I should say these aircrafts are unique works of art themselves”.
“Volga-Dnepr Group holds the contest for professionals and amateur aviation photographers for the fourth time. The aircraft means not only transport and business, but also inspiration. We have received a lot of wonderful and amazing works”, — said Marina Lystseva, Chairman of Judges.
Mikhail Spirov (Russia) with the photo “Ruslan in Surgut” (An-124-100 aircraft) became the winner of the Grand Prix, multifunctional camera backpack.
Anton Kaznacheev (Russia) with the photo “Rainbow” took the first place in An-124-100 category. He took a photo of the biggest transport aircraft at the airport after the rain. Photographer Yan Arik Ittensamer (Austria) who took a photo of the aircraft at the Blue Danube Airport became the winner in IL-76TD-90VD category. Vladimir Voronov (Russia) with the photo of the AirBridgeCargo’s aircraft taking off in the rain became the winner in Boeing 747 aircraft category.
