Aircraft lease market changes will be discussed at Aircraft Finance and Lease Russia & CIS conference

The balance of power on the Russian aircraft lease market will be influenced by Aeroflot group’s new strategy.

Industry experts anticipate that the nearest Board meeting at Aeroflot is aimed to approve the lease of thirteen narrow-body Airbus A321 liners. Besides, the carrier intends to get 14 Boeing 737 earlier addressed to Transaero Airlines which is now under bankruptcy procedure.

Such large-scale plans of Russia’s national flag carrier may obviously encourage optimism for international lessors who keep their eyes on the region’s air transport.

This is the 200th aircraft of this type produced by the United Aircraft Corporation and the first SSJ leased to the airline from PSB Leasing. The term of the contract is 20 years. Another 3 aircraft of this type were received by the airline this year from STLC. For the aircraft, an inverse version of the airline's livery was chosen (not the standard white and red, but red and white). Now the airline's fleet has 2 aircraft painted in such manner, the second one is A320.
