According to an aide to the commander of the Central Military District, Russian Missile Forces on Wednesday will fire S-400 Triumf (Growler) missiles from the Astrakhan region near the Caspian Sea.

Russian Missile Forces from the Central Military District on Wednesday will fire S-400 Triumf (Growler) missiles from the Astrakhan Region near the Caspian Sea, an aide to the commander of the Central Military District said.

"Units from the Central Military District today will hold its first combat launches from the S-400 Triumf missile systems at the Kapustin Yar Range," Yaroslav Roshchupkin said.

According to Roshchupkin, the S-400 will be fired to hit Kaban target missiles.

The S-400 is a medium- and long-range air defense system, capable of neutralizing modern and advanced air and space attacks.
