Aviation Registry of the Interstate Aviation Committee (AR IAC) issued the type certificate number CT359-225 for Airbus Helicopters H225 (manufactured by Airbus Helicopters Vostok) and its modifications. The certificate allows starting commercial operation of the helicopter in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Airbus Helicopters reports.
“Successful certification of H225 by IAC allows Russian operators to start the operation of this reliable and efficient vehicle. Ten years of success at the market of oil and gas industry and positive feedback from hundreds of operators prove that this helicopter is the best solution for carrying out difficult missions under any weather conditions, Airbus Helicopters Vostok CEO, Emeric Lhome, said. — We are confident that this helicopter will help Russian operators decrease operating costs, improve the flight safety and the quality of service”.
In order to ensure continuous operation of Н225 helicopters, Training and MRO centers will be established in Russia. Moreover, in order to support contracts for repair and maintenance of components within a given period of time and with a fixed hourly rate (Repair-by-the-Hour, RBH), as well as contracts for replacement of a failed components within a given period of time and with a fixed rate per flying hour (Parts-by-the-Hour, PBH), the company is developing its logistic capacities in Russia. “We are going to invest in this market and not only financially, but also by means of training specialists and providing all the expertise required to support the high level of flight safety and airworthiness for our Russian partners,” Lhome added.

These vehicles have logged a total of over 5 million flying hours in different countries of the world and under various weather conditions, including missions carried out above the sea surface. In August 2015 this model was showcased for the first time in Russia in the network of MAKS airshow.
