In 2016, the separate helicopter regiment of the Southern MD located in the Krasnodar Krai will be involved in about 30 flight tactical exercises.

Multirole all-weather helicopters Ka-52 Alligator, combat helicopters Mi-28N Night hunter, Mi-24P and Mi-35 Crocodile, as well as transport-combat helicopters Mi-8AMTSh Terminator will take part in them.

During the drills, military pilots will perform a number of tasks at air ranges using standard aviation weapons.

A number of big training activities will be carried out within unannounced combat readiness inspections, which will include redeployment of aircraft at reserve and operational airfields.
