US Refuses to Cooperate With Russia Against Daesh Even After A321 Crash

The US refuses to cooperate with Russia in fight against Daesh even after the Russian A321 crash over Egypt.

Washington shows no willingness to unite with Russia in fight against Daesh (ISIL/the Islamic State) even after the Russian A321 crash over Egypt's Sinai Peninsula was deemed a terror attack by Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

"Unfortunately, even after the terror attack on the Russian airliner, which took place on October 31, the United States does not show any willingness to establish full coordination with us in dealing with the Islamic State," the statement reads.

According to the Russian Federal Security Service head Alexander Bortnikov, the detonation of a homemade explosive device with an equivalent of 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) of TNT caused the crash of the Russian plane. The Islamic State terrorist group, which is outlawed in Russia and many other countries, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Russia launched aerial campaign against Daesh and other terrorist groups at the request of Syrian President Bashar Assad on September 30.

A US-led international coalition of over 60 states has been carrying out a separate campaign against Daesh in Syria and Iraq since 2014. The campaign has not been approved by the Syrian government or the UN Security Council.
