Eastern MD Ka-52 and Mi-8AMTSh crews carry out first joint training flights in new training year

The Eastern MD army aviation crews carry out the first practice flights of the new training year in Khabarovsk Krai. The pilots operated the Ka-52 Alligator and Mi-8AMTSh Terminator helicopters for the joint flights.

During the training, the Ka-52 attack helicopters followed and provided fire support to Mi-8ATMSh assault helicopters, which were conducting an imitated airlift delivery.

Moreover, the Ka-52 helicopters carried out a group flight. The crews exercised different types of aerobatics and also the “en-route flight to the designated area” exercise.

The ground target field firing will be the next stage of the Army Aviation pilots’ training. These firings will be conducted at an air proving ground, located in Khabarovsk Krai.

It is worth mentioning that the Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters have been supplied to the Eastern MD Army Aviation airbase, located in Khabarovsk Krai, in 2015.
