Asiana Airlines to stop Vladivostok flights

Asiana Airlines announced the closure of its office in Vladivostok and the termination of regular flights from the city from February 1, 2016. According to Vladivostok-based newspaper Zolotoy Rog, the decision was made at the company's head office in Seoul.

The airline will continue its flights to Khabarovsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

Asiana said it would accommodate passengers holding tickets for flights after February 1 on other carriers.  Aeroflot and Korean Air also operate flights between Seoul and Vladivostok.

This year, several international air companies have scaled back flights to Russia as demand falls across the board, with the economic crisis forcing Russians to take fewer holidays abroad.
