Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's visit will further deepen trade and economic cooperation between Russia and China and will be an important diplomatic step, according to Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping.
Russia and China will sign a number of bilateral agreements in the field of trade, energy and aviation during the visit of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to China on December 14-17, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping said Tuesday.
"Mr Medvedev's visit will further deepen trade and economic cooperation between Russia and China and will be an important diplomatic step. The parties are expected to sign a number of agreements on cooperation in energy, space, aviation, nuclear energy and humanitarian spheres during the visit," Guoping said.
The Russian prime minister is expected to attend a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on December 14-15.
On December 16, Medvedev will address the second World Internet Conference in the town of Wuzhen in east China's Zhejiang province.
On December 16-17, the Russian prime minister will attend the 20th regular meeting of the heads of Russia's and China's governments.
