United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) issued a tender for research-and-development project focused on development of TV7-117ST turboprop engine for the latest light military-transport aircraft – Il-112V. About 4,9 billion rubles should be spent on this project (according to the website dedicated to state procurement), RIA Novosti reports.

The inquiry was placed as procurement from the sole provider. TV7-117ST turboprop engine is the further development of TV7-117 family. Initially there was S version; later SM version was developed, while ST is more powerful, efficient and advanced version. Earlier former UEC CEO Vladislav Masalov said that mass production of this engine would be started in 2020.

It was reported earlier that Il-112V should perform its maiden flight in 2017 and its mass production should be started by Voronezh aviation plant in 2019 upon completion of the state testing.

United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) is the integrated company responsible for production of aircraft engines for military and civil aircraft, spacecraft, as well as gas turbine power plants used to generate electricity and heat energy, gas compressor units and marine gas turbine units. In February UEC reported that it gained a right to carry out independent international business activities, connected with provision of MRO services for its military products.
