Russian Aviaton » Monday November 9, 2015 23:56 MSK

On October 31, the Russian Kogalymavia airliner crashed in Egypt en route from Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All 224 people on board died in the largest air disaster in Russian civil aviation history.

“The FBI has offered forensic assistance and other services to our partners in Egypt and Russia, and stands ready to assist,” Campbell stated.

US State Department spokesman John Kirby told the press on Monday that the United States has been in daily contact with Russian and Egyptian officials on the crash.

“There has been the sharing of information related specifically to this crash between the United States and Russia, between the United States and Egypt,” Kirby stated.

Over the weekend, US media reported that Russian officials requested FBI assistance in the crash investigation, citing unnamed US officials.
