The crew of А321 had no remarks about technical condition of the aircraft

The crew of А321 had no complaints about technical condition of the aircraft prior to departure from Kurumoch airport (Samara) to Sharm el-Sheikh, Interfax reports.

“The crew had no remarks about technical condition of the aircraft prior to the flight,” Chief Assistant of the Head of Transport Prosecutor’s Office of Privolzhsky Federal District, Maya Ivanova, said.

The A321 departed on Friday October 30th 2015 at 15:05 (Samara time) to Sharm el-Sheikh; on Saturday it should have performed the flight to St. Petersburg. The crew included captain, co-pilot and five flight attendants; they have passed preflight medical examination and were allowed to operate the flight, Ivanova said.

The Airbus А321-231 arrived in Samara on October 30th at 12:00 from Sharm el-Sheikh. The jet departed to Egypt with a new crew. The crew was replaced again in Sharm el-Sheikh.

On Friday after arrival in Kurumoch airport the aircraft didn’t undergo maintenance, because the captain didn’t request it. Last time the jet underwent maintenance was on May 3rd 2014 (the vehicle was filled with industrial oil), Ivanova explained.

Earlier the representative of the Investigative Committee of Russian Federation Vladimir Markin said “Transport Prosecutor’s Office of Privolzhsky Federal District is recovering samples of fuel and documentation related to maintenance and inspections of the jet at Samara-based facilities, where the crashed aircraft was refueled for the last time”.
