In the first half of the year 2016, the Command of the Airborne Troops is going to organize a large-scale landing operation at the North Pole.

The combat training activity will include task performance under the extreme conditions of the Arctic zone.

The northern training is to be performed jointly with specialists of the Expedition centre of the Russian geographical society and the Military and transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
