This year over 50 modern multimedia simulators (including those for Navy ship crews; bomber, attack and army aviation crews; AT and AA missile system crews) have been delivered to Western MD formations and units.

Combat training programmes in the Western MD have been altered to include at least 8 hours of simulator training per week for all servicemen ranging from unit commanders of drivers and operators.

Effective use of the new training hardware in formations and units of the Western MD allows to significantly cut the amount of time required to familiarize oneself with weapons and hardware. This allows to increase proficiency of servicemen, while cutting down the wearing of hardware and the amount of ammunition used.
