Russian Emergencies Ministry jet delivers to Crimea 300 mobile power generators

Today a Russian Emergencies Ministry plane is going to deliver some additional power generators to Crimean Federal District to provide normal functioning of the society.

The Il-76 carrying 300 mobile power generators (30 kW) is going to take off from Ramenskoye airport to Simferopol.

In Crimea, power generators are going to be distributed to social facilities.

The united power network of Ukraine earlier stopped supplying Crimean Federal District with power via interstate lines VL-330 kW Melitopol-Dzhankoy and Kakhovskaya-Ostrovskaya.

Over 3,000 people and 1,000 units of equipment are involved in relief operations in Crimean Federal District, including over 300 people and 55 units of equipment, with 2 planes among them, provided by the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

Following the order of the Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov an Il-76 has transported to the Republic of Crimea 300 6kW power generators to ensure normal functioning of the society during a blackout and rotational cutoffs.

At present the plane is being unloaded. The power generators are going to be sent to the Government of Crimea to ensure stable and uninterrupted communication in the peninsula, to the most needy and remotest rural areas of Crimea and to Sebastopol.

At the moment all social institutions, as well as facilities of infrastructure are getting power from backup generators and are provided with fuel.

Termination of power supply from Ukraine did not have any effect on the operation of transport services in the peninsula: the airport of Simferopol, Kerch ferry crossing, railway station operate as scheduled. The residential blocks are supplied in accordance with Krymenergo’s schedule.
