GLONASS system may be used for calculating fees for heavy trucks, TASS reports with reference to Vice Premier Dmitry Rogozin.

“GLONASS Company is starting a project related to heavy trucks in order to calculate fees for all the routes. In fact, this is the example of commercialization of the system,” Rogozin said at a meeting chaired by the President of Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

Resolution of GLONASS system may reach 1 meter by 2020, just like in case with GPS, Rogozin said. 

According to him, GLONASS’ share at the global market may reach 40%.
