After Russia and France terminated their contract on the delivery of Mistral warships in August, Moscow received around $1 billion in compensation.
Russian communication systems and fire control systems will be completely stripped from the Mistral helicopter carrier within two days, an official in the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation said Wednesday.
“Stripping of Mistral’s equipment is on the final stage and there’s only a few days’ of work remaining. According to the plan, this work should be accomplished before November 21,” the official told RIA Novosti.
