Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) is negotiating deliveries of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ 100) aircraft with several Egyptian carriers; from 5 to 15 jets may be delivered to the customers (besides delivery of 12 SSJ 100s to Egypt Air, which was discussed earlier). It was stated by SCAC President, Ilya Tarasenko, at Dubai Airshow 2015.

“At present we are working closely with Egyptian air carriers. And we are going to sign some contracts soon. Egypt Air is in the first place, but there are more Egyptian airlines, including low-cost carriers. The agreements will include from 5 to 15 jets of the type; at present the exact quantity is unknown. It depends on the route network, vehicles included in an option, as well as their program for development of regional transportation business,” Ilya Tarasenko said.

At present the parties are discussing possibilities for financing the deliveries with financial companies – the results of these negotiations will define the lease rate offered to the buyers of the aircraft.
