The majority of most recent airstrikes conducted by Russian air force in Syria targeted the Islamic State’s positions, Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook told reporters on Tuesday.
“My understanding is the majority of these airstrikes, the most recent airstrikes, were targeted at ISIL-controlled areas,” Cook stated.
