Military aviation of Russia will take delivery of 160 new aircraft and helicopters in 2015, Interfax-AVN reports with reference to Russian Minister of Defense, General of the Army, Sergey Shoygu.
"Over the last few years state-of-the-art equipment was being delivered to the Aerospace Defense Forces. Military aviation has already taken delivery of over 40 aircraft and helicopters this year. At least 120 more vehicles should be delivered to the military units this year," Shoygu said at a meeting.
According to him, it is very important that the new vehicles must be placed in hideouts – "this move will improve the vehicles’ survivability and decrease time needed to prepare them, ease the work of maintenance personnel and help decrease operating costs".
