Egypt, Russia Could Find Causes of A321 Crash Better Than Other States - UK

Russian Aviaton » Tuesday November 10, 2015 15:34 MSK

Egyptian and Russian specialists could answer question whether Russian A321 aircraft crashed in the Sinai Peninsula due to the terrorist attack better than the representatives of other states, UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said.

On October 31, an Airbus A321 operated by the Russian airline Kogalymavia crashed in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. All 224 people on board died. The crash has become the largest civil aviation disaster in Russian and Soviet history.

"The definitive answer to whether or not it was a bomb will come from a forensic examination of the wreckage. That is clearly not under our control. The Egyptians, the Russians are in a much stronger position to answer that question," Hammond said Monday, answering the question whether A321 crashed because of the bomb aboard.
