MiG-35 “4++”-generation aircraft has a great potential; in future the fighter may be upgraded to the level of “light” fifth-generation fighter, Rosoboronexport CEO Anatoly Isaykin told RIA Novosti.
“This manufacturer offers some advanced models; for example, MiG-35. In future it may be upgraded to the “light fifth-generation” level; that is why its export potential is great,” Isaykin said.
Moreover, Russia is continuing development of PAK FA fifth-generation fighter.
MiG-35 is the latest aircraft fitted with fifth-generation target sight systems. It is a multi-role fighter aircraft able to use the latest high-precision weapons to attack any types of targets as well as carry out some missions previously carried out by reconnaissance aircraft.
