Sergey Gerasimov was appointed UAC Vice-President for Special Aviation Programs

On October 7th 2015 Sergey Gerasimov was appointed Vice-President for Special Aviation Programs of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), UAC’s press-service reports.

“The new Vice-President will be responsible for coordination of interaction with government authorities in the area of state special aviation, including deliveries, management of research and development projects, production, provision of MRO services as well as assuring operation of special flights within the framework of UAC’s responsibilities. Decision to introduce the new position was made at the meeting of UAC’s Board of Directors in September 2015,” said in the statement.

Prior to being appointed UAC Vice-President Sergey Vladimirovich Gerasimov worked as the Advisor to UAC President in the area of interaction with government authorities. During a period from 1998 to 2014 he served at Federal Protective Service (FSO); from 1995 to 1998 – at the Federal Border Service, from 1990 to 1995 he was a military pilot.

Sergey Gerasimov graduated from Stavropol air force academy named after the Marshal of Aviation V.A. Sudets (specialty – pilot-engineer); he also passed the key personnel training course at Federal Border Service academy. During studying at a high school he graduated from the 2nd Moscow DOSAAF aeroclub. During his studying and career as a pilot he piloted Yak-52, L-29, Su-15, Su-15TM and Il-76MD aircraft (as a co-pilot). He also has state decorations and awards, UAC added.
